    Challenge Meditation with Donovan

    When things change inside you, things change around you.     CHALLENGE Yoga Burn

    Join Simone from March 8th to 11th for 4 days of fun, with a daily upbeat Yoga workout to energize and uplift you into Spring.

    Yoga Burn is open to all levels. This practice is designed to help bring awareness to your emotional body by challenging you to stay connected during each exercise.
    The movements are easy to follow and synchronized with music for that upbeat, energising experience.

    CHALLENGE Yoga Nidra & Yin Home Retreat

    Giving yourself the space for rest and renewal with a practice of long held , passive poses that target the deeper tissues of the body. the ultimate practice of surrender, accessing stillness, creating space and being with what is. We will unwind the body with a spacious 30 min yin practice followed by a 30 min nidra practice the practice of “yogic sleep” to sooth your soul leave you feeling refreshed restored and rebalanced.

    In Traditional Chinese medicine we have Yin and Yang. Yang is the Sun shining down on the horizon—it is everything hot, loud, fast, bright, masculine, hard and forceful. Conversely, Yin is the shady side of the hill—it is everything that is dark, cold, slow, soft, damp, receptive and female. Yang is daylight, Yin is night. Yang is activity, Yin is rest. Yang is productivity, Yin is restoration. And for the universe (and ourselves) to be healthy, balanced and peaceful, we should be half one and half the other, and only together, in equal parts, is there wholeness, equanimity and alignment

    These practices of yin + nidra slowing down and activating the parasympathetic nervous system are key as
    We are now in winter, the nighttime of the year. Winter is the season of utmost Yin. It is the Earth’s time of utmost rest, utmost darkness and utmost conservation. Nature requires it. It is from this fertile silence that Spring is born; it takes this period of consolidation to regenerate the burst of Yang that will crack the seedling and push it up through the soil to reach the sunlight at winter’s end. The balance of the cosmos hinges on this period of rest and recovery. And that’s what I want for you. To rest and conserve to then be ready to emerge in spring.

    You should feel rewarded and celebrated for doing nothing as your are for doing everything else. Slow down and do so with kindness tenderness and patience- this is the correction for life hardness.
